Education Spotlight: UNILAG Graduate Wins Triple Scholarship�a 5.0 CGPA Feat

At its 55th convocation in early 2025, the University of Lagos (UNILAG) celebrated 16,409 graduating students. Among them were two standout achievers: Samuel Badekale and Damilare Haroun Adebakin, both from the Department of Cell Biology & Genetics, who earned flawless 5.0 CGPAs�the highest academic honor possible. Samuel Badekale�s academic story didn�t end at graduation. He was selected�as the only Nigerian and West African�for the esteemed Erasmus Mundus Joint Master�s in Biomembranes, a fully funded program spanning three European universities: Universit� C�te d�Azur (France), University of Genoa (Italy), and University of Osnabr�ck (Germany). His post-graduation journey promises cutting-edge exploration across membrane biology, neuroscience, and experimental medicine. These feats are not just academic walkovers�they�re statements. UNILAG joined a select university league as two undergraduates not only mastered their disciplines but earned follow-on study pathways at globally respected institutions.
